An old woman lived in a village in Bihar. He had no one in the world but his son Ramu. She used to grind people's flour and do other small things to raise her son. With that, they were able to make ends meet.
One day while he was cooking, a Brahmin came to his house. He asked the old woman for food. He had only bread for Ramu and nothing else. So he refused to give food to the Brahmin. But the Brahmin was hungry. He said - "You will give me food, I will give you a gift." On hearing this, the old woman gave him the bread she had kept for Ramu.
Immediately after the departure of the Brahmin, Ramu came and started asking for food. He was surprised that his food was not ready. He asked his mother and she told him the whole story of the Brahmin and his groom.
Ramu did not wait and went to look for the Brahmin.
Ramu was passing through a dense forest. Suddenly he saw an elephant whose trunk was stuck in the branches of a tree. The elephant moaned sadly and asked Ramu - "Where are you going?"
Ramu said - I am going in search of God who has promised to bless me. "
The elephant begged Ramu - "You ask God why he is hurting me so much." Ramu accepted the elephant's request.
As Ramu went further, he saw a tree that was withering and dying. Ramu sat down to rest under the tree. "You are good, young man. Why are you wandering in this dense forest?" Ramu also promised him that he would definitely ask.
While walking, Ramu reached a kingdom. The king there was building a bridge. Surprisingly, the bridge was fine during the day but broke at night. When Ramu met the king, he was pleased. The king asked him why he had come to his kingdom. Ramu said that he was searching for God. The king requested Ramu to ask God why the bridge had collapsed on the night. Ramu Nass also made a promise to him and went on his journey.
While walking he reached a hill where he met a worshiping Brahmin. He opened his eyes and saw Ramu. He smiled and asked - "Son! Where are you going?"
Ramu said - "Maharaj, I am wandering in search of God."
"I am God," said the Brahmin, laughing a little. Ramu could not believe it. The Brahmin put his hand on Ramu's head. The whole atmosphere was filled with light. Ramu felt infinite bliss. Then he said to the Brahmin, "Fulfill the promise you made to give."
"Son! Go back to your house. You will find your bridegroom." The Brahmin said lovingly.
At that time Ramu asked him questions about elephants, trees and the king. The Brahmin replied - "Let the elephant put the man on his back. He did not do his duty so he has to suffer. There are ten pots full of pots under the tree. He will be filled with flowers and husbands. The king has a princess. They do not marry him because of pride. God breaks his bridge at night just to remove his command. "
Ramu moved back. He gave God's message to the elephant. The elephant sat Ramu on his back. Her numbness went away, and her pain was gone. Ramu, riding on an elephant, reached the tree and told him what God had said. The tree gladly gave all the wealth to Ramu and saw God! The tree blossomed with flowers and leaves.
Now she went to the king and told him the reason for the collapse of the bridge.
The king happily married the princess to Ramu.
Ramu, riding on an elephant, reached his mother with a golden pot and a beautiful wife. Jhum with old happiness.
